DJ's New Car

We got DJ this car a few weeks ago. It has finally been nice enough on the weekends so that we can get out an try it out. He is unsure about riding in it, but he really enjoyed pushing it around and playing with it!

Just need to back up here a little bit! He could push it backwards a little.

Two Tornados!

Nana, Papa, and Brooklyn came out to visit DJ last weekend. DJ and Brooklyn had a lot of fun together. Between the two of them, I think they played with just about every toy that DJ owns! Brooklyn really enjoyed playing with DJ's workbench.

Valentine's Day

I took DJ back to Picture People again this year for his Valentine's Day cards. I also got these two pictures for free! I love when Picture People sends out their coupons!!

If you think he cannot reach it....

Move it back 5 feet!! DJ had some yogurt with dinner last night. When I thought he was finished, I went to run his bath water, leaving him in the highchair. I put the container of yogurt on the table and thought he could not reach it. Boy was I wrong! Not only could he reach it, but he has decided that it is more fun to eat yogurt with his hands!

DJ got several Little People sets for Christmas. He is really starting to like playing with them. But how in the world do you keep up with all the little people?? He carries them all over the house!

He also got this neat toy for the kitchen. It is a car wash magnet set. (Thanks Aunt Heather and Uncle Brandon!) Finally something to keep him out of my cabinets. He is starting to carry the magnets all over the house trying to find something else they will stick too. He has realized that they will stick to the garage door and the dishwasher already. Hopefully he won't discover that they will stick to the stove!

Fixing his New Car

Nana and Papa got DJ the Lightening McQueen car for Christmas and Santa brought him some tools to work on it with. Here he is showing Daddy how to fix his new car!

DJ's aunts got him a tricycle for Christmas. A few weeks ago, it was warm enough for us to get outside and try it out. I really think he is going to enjoy this come spring/summer. Thanks Aunt Kathy and Aunt Laurie!!

FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy Birthday DJ!! I cannot believe that it has been (over) a year since DJ was born. Time really does fly and they really do grow up too fast. He has finally gotten confident in walking and is walking a lot more. He can say Dada, Mama, Papa, Hi There, and we are working on Nana!!

Hair Cut #2!

Well, we decided it was definitely time to get DJ's hair cut again. I can't believe this is hair cut #2 before he is even 12 months old!!

However, this time, he did not like it!!! He screamed the whole time.

But it does look a lot better!!

One Year Photos!!!

I took DJ to Olan Mills for his one year photos!

She also took a few Christmas pictures. I just had to get this one. He has really taken to screaming lately and this was just perfect!

Then I got a coupon for The Picture People, so I took him there! To me, the quality of the pictures is just so much better.

Walking Part Two!!

DJ is getting better at walking! He will still only walk to me or Damon. He has yet to take off on his own, but I know it won't be too long before he does! And he is so funny when he is walking. It is like it makes him so happy!

A Conversation with DJ!

DJ has finally started babbling a lot more. He still hasn't said any real words, but he is getting close! I just thought this was pretty cute. He is also starting to wave, but he won't really do it on command.

Santa 2008

DJ had his picture made with Santa at daycare. He wasn't screaming, but you could tell he wasn't happy!! What is it about Santa that is so scary to young children??

We have a walker!!

DJ is finally starting to take a few steps all by himself! This was his 2nd night of "practice" at walking. It won't be too much longer before he is off and running!!
